Navigating Cultural Identity?

Are you a First or Second Generation Canadian?

Perhaps you were born to immigrant parents or immigrated as a child.

The struggles you face are unique; having to figure out your identity as a Canadian AND your cultural heritage. This can be quite a balancing act given your experiences in your home, as well as outside of the home (racism).

We work together on challenges such as

  • Figuring out your sense of self between your heritage and your current home
  • Navigating the balance between your needs and your family’s needs
  • Managing family pressure while asserting your unique self

And also...

  • Working through the inner tension of feeling like you don’t fully fit in with the culture at home or the culture outside (experiences of racism)
  • Figuring out your feelings about where-you-come-from and where-you-live in the context of World Politics

We create a safe space to explore

And managing our uncomfortable feelings due to racism and political disillusionment

Your values according to your authentic self

Practical tools and strategies to create the right paths for you

And understand your experiences

You don't have to do this alone

By gently exploring the underlying reasons, you will learn to better take care of yourself and respond to your needs in healthy ways.

Together, we create support structures to help you through life’s inevitable stressful phases and create a life of meaning and peace.
